rise and shine, my comrades!

Filed under: early bird — dyan @ 5:51 am

My body clock is all messed up so I’m still up even if it’s freaking 5 in the morning. I don’t have time to go to sleep now since our last day of review will be later at 8. So why not make the most of this time by updating this blog.

For the past week, I was tempted by the frequent rain showers and the cold weather to catch more and more and more zzzs, therefore I did not have enough time to study our lessons. And, voila, we were told that our pre-board exam is scheduled next week. Thus, I will probably spend the coming week cramming for it. ~_~

On the lighter side of my boring life (haha, as if doing nothing’s a burden on my part), tatay gave me a new cel. Actually, we traded cellphones. My 6600’s now a W800i. I’m not an ericsson fan but I snatched the opportunity since it’s camera has a higher resolution plus it’s a walkman phone!

Serious mode on.

It’s been almost a month since Zyra stepped foot on Philippine soil and that only means she’s leaving for the US soon. It’s sooner, actually, because they will be leaving tomorrow. Sad. Sad. Sad. We scheduled for a movie-dinner gathering later at Gateway. This will be her version of the last supper. Sab had hers last month.

Serious mode off.

Emil will treat me to lunch/dinner tomorrow. His first libre from his first sweldo. ^_^ Sometimes it feels good to be a bum.

Ok. GTG. I’m gonna make myself a nice hot cup of milo and tunasilog.

Got this article from BBC News: Cadbury salmonella scare probed.

“An investigation is under way after Cadbury withdrew a million chocolate bars which may have been contaminated with a rare strain of salmonella.”

Waaah why cadbury?!! Why? Why? Why?!!

When I first heard that Lady in the Water was written by M. Night Shyamalan, I was determined to catch it during its first screening week. I suppose you do not know this, but two of my favorite flicks, The Sixth Sense and The Village, were also written by M. Night.

Little did I know that the reviews online were true. I was so upset after watching the movie last night. The plot was weird. I know for a fact that M. Night was known for his “twisted” scripts but the twist in this one’s really terrible. One movie ticket in Gateway costs P160. Syet what a ripoff! No wonder it wasn’t produced by Disney.

Trust me, just watch it on pirated DVD.

Recently , I don’t get to see Emil that often. So this is how it feels like to be with a Working Filipino. I can’t wait to have a job!! After the board exams, I’m planning to… shift to a much in demand field… IT. That is, if I don’t get a ge related job soon because my resources are close to being exhausted.

No review class last Thursday and Friday and this coming Monday. 5 straight days of bumming itich.

Yesterday, I noticed that people seemed nicer to me. That’s probably because I was wearing a skirt. Mga maniac! ;D

Last Friday night, I went out with my high school friends. We had originally planned on catching Pirates of the Caribbean at Greenbelt 3 but ended up having the tickets refunded because some had to go home earlier than expected.

We then decided to just spend our money on Bubba Gump food. The resto was jam-packed with people so the manager asked us if we are willing to stay at the smoking area. And because we were really starving then, we just grabbed the proposal.

So we stayed at the patio overlooking the Renaissance Hotel. In fairness, it was cozy there despite the absence of air conditioning units and the occasional honking of the cars below us. Probably it’s because of the lovely people I was with and the undoubtedly luscious food. I especially loved the pasta with shrimp (sorry, I forgot what it’s exactly called).

And since it was pay day, Maki was generous enough to pay for the excess charges. Hehe, we are so lucky to have a galante friend.

My friends had to go before 11, so I was left strolling alone while waiting for the Pugoys. Went to Hobbes then finally settled near the fountain area.

Call me crazy and paranoid but I hate sitting alone. It seems as if somebody’s gonna approach me any minute; somebody as in someone who’s old and ugly. Paranoia persisted till 11:20 when Emil finally arrived.
