one night in punchline

Filed under: avo, entertainment — dyan @ 6:03 am

the first time i went to a comedy bar was after our college's graduation ball. we went to this very affordable but cozy place in las piñas called sitcom. and because we were a bunch of all prepped up fools, the comedians immediately noticed us. lo and behold, ako ata unang tinira. they coined me as the group's debutante. kaloka.

last friday, me and my high school friends (sab, ros, cali, and marco) decided to go to punchline in quezon ave. block buster ang line up. we were able to catch the whole program. anton diva was really skinny. he she probably is skinnier than me. but oh boy, she is really gorgeous and she trully is a real diva. other performers were ate gay, chokoleit, tricia, janelle of wowowee, etc.

in the middle of the program, i had a close encounter with kirai/kiray one of the comedians who impersonated whitney houstondiana ross. luckily, maki was able to snag some pics using his cel's cam.

notice the butt crack? kiray here was teasing 3 guys from the other table.

and this was the close encounter! hulaan n'yo kung anong ginawa n'ya?

what else do you expect in a comedy bar, haha? ;)

of many things

dyan and zy during their freshie yrsab's welcome partysab's 22nd

being miles away from your bestfriend is pretty tough especially if you've practically spent 1/3 of your life with him/her. walang kachismisan. when i found out that my bestfriend, zyra, had plans of spending her birthday here, i was really thrilled. i haven't seen her for more than a year now. and i can't wait to see her this July.

however, it's sad that another friend will be leaving for the US on the 30th. :( oo, ikaw yun, sab! we had a blast during her welcome party @ lory's and her birthday party @ burgoo. see how much the avogadro peeps love you, baklita? uwian mo kami ng kano next time. yung mayaman at matanda!

about our review, we've finished the math sessions already, we had our last meeting in law yesterday, and we are about to finish cartography after 2 more sessions. our teacher in law is so brilliant. it's amazing how he knows everything about those boring decrees, acts, or whatever you call them. i wish i had his drive when handling those hard to digest topics. law scares me. i just can't seem to grasp the concepts in just one reading. so i have to go over them at least 3 times. eh haller? we have like over 20 topics to discuss. major problem itich! thank God I didn't accept the job offer. at least i have a whole lot of time on my hands. 95 days to go!

speaking of that job thing, i would like to express my gratitude to those who shared their sentiments regarding what i wrote last time. grabe, na-touch ako. thank you!

eso es todo. adios!

link to my multiply account i'm about to turn down a job offer. it bothers me that i'm about to do this to one of the two great local companies in my field. i guess it would be better for me if i'd just allot my time reviewing for the board exams. must move on. must move on.

ge board countdown: 101 days to go

i've uploaded pics from our sing trip in my multiply account. just click on my pretty pic. sabi nga ni vic sotto, "check it out!"

vacation galore

Last January, I was informed that I'd be going to Singapore with the Pugoy's. I was really thrilled by the fact that they included me in their plans and I need not worry about anything!

Who’s feeling lucky?! ;)

I surfed somewhere that the Great Singapore Sale would start at the day of our trip. Wow, talk about right timing! So since then, I had been saving money like crazy thinking that I might catch something I really really like, hehe!

Apparently I was busy converting Singapore dollars to Philippine peso when we went there. So, ayun, I did not buy anything. I was eyeing the "50% discount off ipod nano" promo but they only sell 7 units per day. Asa pa.

Nakakatawa pala kasi nakasabay pa namin sa Clark Terminal si Kuya Mike (Circuiteer). Ang liit talaga ng Pilipinas. At nakakatawa lang na nagkasabay kami. Hi, Kuya Mike! ;)

Anyway, here are the uber delayed pics from our trip:
